Reflection on Family Birthday Gathering 12/28/2014
A good time was had by those gathered to celebrate December birthdays. The white elephant gift exchange was a big hit and perfect gift choices fell into the right hands. Thanks to Molly for re-gifting her battery operated dog. Gianna went home with a perfect pet dog, LUCKY! David we know what you can get for Helen next year. Those of you unable to be with us due to illnesses, travel, and other plans you were missed, too! Our menu included the walking taco which made it easier to accommodate hungry eaters but one thing that was missed was our prayer.
I am posting the prayer here so you all can reflect on how Lucky we are especially as we were together on the Feast Day of the Most Blessed, Holy Family. “Oh, Lord on this day as we gather you have given us the Best example of family. May we ask for their help as we continue to care for one another, show respect, love each other, give support in difficult times or when differences occur, and to be willing to forgive each other. We ask that You bestow upon us your grace to strengthen us and follow their example. Thank you for the faith and prayer-filled lives of our parents Tom & Tina, as they are truly missed this Christmas season. Amen!
